Intel - Product Discontinuance Announcement

 

Intel is announcing the discontinuance of the IntelĀ® Entry Storage System SS4200-E and SS4200-EHW.

Should you have any issues with the timeline or content of this change, please

contact the Intel Representative(s) for your geographic location listed below. No

response from customers will be deemed as acceptance of the change and the change

will be implemented pursuant to the key milestones set forth in this attached PCN.

Product Discontinuance Program Support Begins: Dec 04, 2009

Orders are Non-Cancelable and Non-Returnable After: Jan 04, 2010

Last Product Discontinuance Order Date: Jun 04, 2010

Last Product Discontinuance Shipment Date: Oct 04, 2010

Last Product Return Date: Jan 04, 2010

 

 

Description of Change to the Customer:

Intel is announcing the discontinuance of the IntelĀ® Storage System

SS4200-E.

1. This product discontinuance notification is effective December 04,

2009.

2. All orders are non-cancelable and non-returnable as of January 04,

2009.

3. Final purchase orders for the affected products must be placed by

June 04, 2010 (Final Day to Place Orders)

* Orders placed between December 04, 2009 and June 04, 2010

will be subject to supply availability on a first come first serve

basis.

4. The final quantity to be shipped must specify a customer request

date (CRD) no later than October 04, 2010 (Final Day to Take Delivery

of Orders).

Final purchase orders are non-cancelable and non-returnable,

notwithstanding any conflicting terms in our quotes, purchase order

acknowledgment or Distributor agreements.

Hi,
It has been more than a month that the SS4200 was discontinued, and I really want to buy one.
Should I buy one now, now that I still can get one, or wait for its successor?
But I can't find anything about a successor. Will there even be one?
Anybody got some news about this?
